Punakawan it comes from the words of Puna and Kawan. Puna means difficult; whereas the mean kanca comrade, friend or relative. So Punakawan meaning it can also be translated relative / friend in times of difficulty.

There is another interpretation of the words Punakawan. Puna could also be called Pana, which means bright, while friends means friends or relatives. So another interpretation of the meaning Punakawan is a friend or relative who took to the street light.

Semar

Petruk



Petruk is derived from the fat ruk (leave). Petruk is Semar second child. Petruk figures depicted with long forms that symbolize thought to be long. Bagong



Bagong is derived from the word al gho ya ba (worse case) .Bagong is punakawan Java. Bagong Semar is the youngest child or a clown to 4. But like children semar others, Bagong also likes to joke even in the face of a very serious problem. and has a sassy nature and likes to play dumb. He was also very funny. Characters are symbolized on the human form is cumbersome to be simple, patient, and not too amazed at the life of the world

Philosophy: Semar third child. The realization of the WORKS. he who is considered as a real person. although Petruk complete with beauty and perfection, but pot-bellied man who is considered as a whole. because he has a deficiency. So true human is a human who has advantages and disadvantages. so do not be afraid or ashamed of our shortcomings. due to a shortage that is what makes us human beings. we need to think now is, how to minimize our shortcomings, and maximize our strengths. because after all the advantages and disadvantages that we can not dispose of or we lose.
